Melton's Royal Connections - A special exhibition to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. To celebrate this momentous Platinum Jubilee year, an exhibition looking at the royal visitors that Melton has received through he ages. Admission is free Opening Hours Tuesday - Saturday: 10:00am - 16:30pm Sundays & Mondays: Closed Special opening hours Sunday 5th June 10:00am - 16:30pm The museum is opening specially on Sunday 5th June to support the festivities in the town and all of the activities will be available on this day.

A busy events packed programme is promised for the extended Jubilee Bank Holiday in the Borough of Melton. The Jubilee runs from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 4th June and celebrates HM Queen’s 70 years on the throne. Beacon Lighting Ceremony

On the evening of 2 June at 9.45pm, Platinum Jubilee Beacons will be lit in each county of the United Kingdom to mark the monarch’s 70-year reign. To celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the Defence Animal Training Regiment (DATR) are hosting a Beacon Lighting Ceremony to launch the Melton Mowbray events for the Jubilee weekend, gates open 8.30pm The event will be held on the open fields in front of the Remount Barracks, Ashfordby Road. Food & drinks available to purchase.
