40s Weekend Melton Mowbray are holding an indoor vintage Christmas market to run alongside their famous Christmas market that runs through the Town centre. There will be stall holders, A vintage Tea Room and Dance Lessons with Julie and Alan Axon. Come along and have some Christmas fun.
Melton's 1940s weekend set to be bigger and better than ever The town will be transformed into a celebration of the 1940s with activities, fashion and music characterising a period when Britain was at war. The event starts at 10am and runs through to 5pm on both days with a spectacular parade through town on the Sunday morning. Let’s celebrate like it’s the 1940s! Join Belvoir Castle for a long-awaited re-opening of the castle and gardens. Over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd May, the Castle will be celebrating like it’s the 1940’s with Street Party picnic areas, re-enactments, war vehicles, tales from veterans, live music, delicious food and drink, and much more.
