Melton theatre was built over 40 years ago and has supported many college and community ventures plus many other touring productions and artists. The theatre was refurbished during the summer of 2009 and its 340 fixed seat auditorium is a great asset for the people of Melton and Leicestershire at a time when small community theatres are under huge financial pressures. The theatre is a proud member of the Brooksby Melton College family of subsidiary companies and is used by the college to train the next generation of performers and behind the scenes technicians. The theatre features a large stage with optional orchestra pit, full counter weight flying and an adaptable lighting and sound system.
