Gates Garden Centre

Gates is so much more than a garden centre.

Based in an idyllic rural location, Gates is a large, award winning destination garden centre on the Rutland / Leicestershire border that offers over 12,500 square metres of inspiration for your home and garden. You’ll find everything from indoor and outdoor plants, garden products, water features, pots and planters and garden tools; to patio furniture, barbecues, clothing, gifts, homeware and pet care – there really is something for everyone.

There’s also a large, well-stocked farm shop, a restaurant with sunny balcony and a cosy coffee shop. Add to this a popular outdoor play area for children, as well as a dedicated dog walking field, and there’s everything you’ll need for a perfect family day out.

Established in 1948 by Fred and Ivy Gates, the garden centre was originally created within the walls of a large Victorian kitchen garden belonging to Cold Overton Hall. Still on the same site today, the centre has expanded considerably over the years, but still retains its traditional family values of excellent customer service coupled with great value for money.

With extensive free parking too, it’s a full day out!
