Calling all Tourism, Events and Hospitality Businesses
Last Tuesday Leicestershire Promotions launched the annual Tourism & Hospitality Awards 2025 at the 1620s House & Garden, it was a successful event with speakers focusing on the impact of entering and winning the local awards. Guests also had the opportunity to meet with the team to discuss the most appropriate categories to enter and gain feedback on previous applications.
The Leicestershire Tourism & Hospitality Awards for 2025 are now live and you can find all the details on their website.
Following feedback from businesses two in-person workshops are being held which will provide practical advice and top tips on how to complete your application. These will be held on:
Tuesday 17th June – 10am-12pm – Priesthouse Hotel, Castle Donington
Tuesday 1st July – 10am-12pm – Windmilll Farm Park, Kibworth Harcourt (30 minutes from Melton Mowbray)

Last Wednesday, at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence ceremony in Brighton three of the 2024 Leicestershire Tourism & Hospitality Award finalists won national awards. Delighted to celebrate silver wins with the National Space Centre for best large visitor attraction, King Richard III Visitor Centre for best small visitor attraction and bronze for The Griffin, Swithland for best pub.
The awards are open to all the tourism and hospitality sector including best experience, hotel large & small, camping & glamping, café, pub, special occasion and casual dinning, attraction, event, regenerative tourism, best business events venue, dog friendly venue, and two new categories for best Garden Centre/Nursery and cocktail experience.
No business is too small to win an award. All applications are judged in context, and it’s the customer experience that really matters.
