The Ultimate Pop Party is a live music experience packed with chart-topping hits and high-energy performances, taking place on 14th and 15th August. The Melton Band. 09 Aug

The Melton Band is one of the oldest brass bands in the world, dating back to around 1814, and is still thriving today in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. The band competes in the Fourth Section at Brass Band contests, but also has a large concert repertoire, playing everything from classic band marches to musicals and even a little pop music! They will perform on the bandstand between 2.45pm – 4.30pm.

Melton Mowbray Comic Con will RETURN this summer for another day of fun-filled free activities and pop culture memorabilia!

If you’ve not been to Comic Cons, then now’s your time to come along and enjoy the fun. Each Comic Con includes: free activities, retro gaming, photo opportunities, costume competitions, brilliant stalls and lots more.

Bolt Events design their Comic Cons with everyone in mind, meaning there’s something for all of the family. As the event gets closer, you can discover what will be featured for this month’s show. From Ghostbusters and Marvel to Bluey and Disney, you’ll be sure to find something you’re interested in.

Stapleford Miniature Railway Open Weekend.

29th And 31st August

The Stapleford Miniature Railway will have its Open Weekend from August 29th to 31st, 2026. This event will take place at the Stapleford estate near Melton Mowbray, featuring a variety of attractions including classic cars, motorcycles, and vintage tractors, along with the famous miniature railway. Admission is £6 for adults, Children £4. Under fives are free.  Weekend camping available.

Summer Season in the Park. 

Throughout the summer Play Close Park will play host to an exciting new schedule of free entertainment held inside a new, dedicated arena, the ‘Event Village’. Outdoor cinema nights, Reggae Pon De Park, 2 Stoke Sunday Northern Soul, and Soulshine Summer Socials. From laid‑back evenings to all‑day dancing and delicious food, it’s a celebration of summer vibes, great music, and brilliant company in the heart of the park.

18th And 19th September

Expect a weekend of trying brilliant beers, cool coders and gorgeous gins. Plus live music across both days, street food and other vendors.
