The Melton Band is one of the oldest brass bands in the world, dating back to around 1814, and is still thriving today in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. The band competes in the Fourth Section at Brass Band contests, but also has a large concert repertoire, playing everything from classic band marches to musicals and even a little pop music! They will perform on the bandstand between 2.45pm – 4.30pm.

Throughout the summer Play Close Park will play host to an exciting new schedule of free entertainment held inside a new, dedicated arena, the ‘Event Village’.
