Description

Melton Mowbray’s Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe has reopened after a five-month refurbishment, and it’s better than ever!

The iconic Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe in Melton Mowbray has thrown open its doors after a fabulous makeover! The revamped store, now twice as big, has successfully preserved the building’s heritage, giving a peek into its fascinating past. Plaques dotted around the shoppe proudly denote original features and relics like the 17th-beams, an original fireplace from the Corn Exchange, and medieval stonework.

A new section on history & heritage unravels the secrets of the mighty pork pie, while the refurbishment has also seen the creation of a beautiful modern shop area with a fantastic wider range of in-house products and locally sourced to enjoy.

There’s more to come!

Tasting Room – new café
Food to Go area
In-store tastings from locally artisan producers & Pork Pie demos

A visit to England’s oldest Pie Shoppe in the heart of Melton Mowbray, indeed a ‘shrine to the pork pie’, is a must-see. Dating back to 1851, Dickinson & Morris remain the oldest and only remaining bakers of authentic Melton Mowbray Pork Pies in the town centre.

In addition to their famous Pork Pies and other varieties of pies, Stilton Cheese, Melton Hunt Cake, Melton Red Beer, freshly baked bread and a range of other delicacies are all on offer.
