Open Gardens
7 June @ 11:00 am - 4:30 pm
| £5Discover the hidden gems of Melton Mowbray at this year’s Open Gardens event! A selection of private gardens lovingly tended will be open for you to explore at your leisure.
This isn’t a showcase of expert-designed show gardens; it’s a celebration of real gardens, created and enjoyed by real people. Expect a warm welcome, the chance to enjoy a cup of tea, and friendly chats with hosts who are happy to share their passion for gardening.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, a relaxing day out, or simply want to enjoy great company in beautiful surroundings, this is a wonderful community event for all ages.
Event highlights:
• Explore a variety of private gardens across the town
• Enjoy refreshments and conversations with garden owners
• Plants available for purchase at selected gardens
• All for just £5, giving you access to every open garden
• Last year, 9 gardens took part – this year’s full list will be confirmed soon
• Interested in opening your own garden? Everyone is welcome – no need to be an expert!
All proceeds support the Friends of St John’s Church in funding the new community hall.
