Melton Mowbray Victorian Christmas Fair

This Christmas, Melton Mowbray is preparing to host the grandest Victorian Christmas Fair, transforming the town into a magical Christmas adventure from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th November 2026. The focus is on creating a truly immersive Christmas experience, with the traditional Victorian Markets located at the Stockyard and in the Town Streets. There will also be wandering Victorian costumed characters, a children’s funfair and Santa’s Grotto. The event will include all areas of the town, from the Museum and Christmas Wreath festival in the east, to the Christmas Tree Festival in St Mary’s Church.

Christmas Market will host an array of curated Christmas-themed stalls full of festive gifts, local produce, food & drink and hand-crafted wares, alongside traditional funfair, street performers, entertainers and much more!

We invite all our visitors to embrace the spirit of the event by dressing in Victorian costume. From splendid top hats and elegant bonnets to simple shawls and flat caps, every effort helps to create a wonderfully immersive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
