Melton aims to make it as easy as possible for small local firms to win contracts with the Borough Council. It supports the Federation of Small Businesses charter to provide a seamless procurement process for local small firms.
The Federation of Small Businesses is a not-for-profit, member-led organisation whose stated objective is to help small business achieve their ambitions. FSB trusted partners deliver services that help business owners spend more time focusing on running their businesses. The FSB also organises local networking events attended by FSB volunteers and staff.
