DESCRIPTION:The 74th annual Christmas Fatstock Show & Sale organised by the Melton & Belvoir Agricultural Society (MBAS) will be held at the Melton Mowbray Livestock Market on Saturday 5th December. \nCoinciding with the Stockyard Christmas Market\, we will happily welcome everyone to come along and enjoy a busy show and market day. \nCome and see an amazing show of Livestock – cattle\, sheep\, pigs and goats; and produce – cheese\, pork pies\, sausages\, pastries\, home baking\, junior baking and preserves. Once the judging is complete\, the winners will be awarded their rosettes and prize cards and the Champions are presented with their trophies. \nThe farming community\, both locally and nationally\, compete in the show and come to the auction\, where the Livestock are sold. The Produce entries are also auctioned off to the general public at 2 pm in the Exhibition Hall. \nMBAS is a non-profit entity and exists to promote agriculture for current and future generations in the region and beyond. The event also raises funds for the Mayor’s charities\, agricultural charities and the society.

DESCRIPTION:An evening of Django Reinhardt inspired French swing jazz\, waltz and some more modern gypsy bossas with a perfect mix of original material as well as classics. \nDanny started playing guitar at about 10 years old\, after listening to the music his parent’s enjoyed such as Buddy Holly & The Crickets\, Chuck Berry\, The Shadows\, The Animals\, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. \nDanny found his passion with the guitar through Blues guitar legends who inspired him to play such as BB King\, Albert Collins Albert King and Buddy Guy in his early teens. He was in his first band at 12 and was gigging regularly at 14. By his late teens he moved into other areas of music such as rock\, funk and reggae. By his early 30’s\, Jazz and Swing began to captivate him and he began to learn about Django Reinhardt and the Gypsy Swing music\, which has inspired him to this day. \nDanny has played on stages all over the U.K and Europe from iconic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall – London\, L’Elyseee Monmatre – Paris\, Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière – Cannes and has been featured on BBC Radio Extra 1\, BBC Radio Sheffield\, and has recorded at BBC Maida Vale studios in London. \nDoors 6:30 pm – 7:30 Start\nTickets via ShowsHappening.co.uk \n
