DESCRIPTION:The 73rd annual Christmas Fatstock Show & Sale organised by the Melton & Belvoir Agricultural Society (MBAS) will be held at the Melton Mowbray Livestock Market on Saturday 6th December. \nCoinciding with the Stockyard Christmas Market\, we will happily welcome everyone to come along and enjoy a busy show and market day. \nCome and see an amazing show of Livestock – cattle\, sheep\, pigs and goats; and produce – cheese\, pork pies\, sausages\, pastries\, home baking\, junior baking and preserves. Once the judging is complete\, the winners will be awarded their rosettes and prize cards and the Champions are presented with their trophies. \nThe farming community\, both locally and nationally\, compete in the show and come to the auction\, where the Livestock are sold. The Produce entries are also auctioned off to the general public at 2 pm in the Exhibition Hall. \nMBAS is a non-profit entity and exists to promote agriculture for current and future generations in the region and beyond.
