Description
A weekend of free -of-charge walks between Friday 17th May and Sunday 19th May, led by local volunteers in the lovely countryside of High Leicestershire. Somerby is a small rural village with an extensive network of country lanes, tracks, footpaths and bridleways, with panoramic views across open countryside from Burrough Hill iron-age hillfort.
The Somerby Festival of walking offers 10 free-of-charge walks of various lengths from 3 miles to 15 miles, plus a short History Amble around Somerby on Sunday afternoon. The walks all start and end at Somerby Memorial Hall and details of each walk can be found at www.somerbyfestivalofwalking.co.uk. Booking through the website.
